Event FAQ

  • When does the June race weekend at The RC Compound start and end?

The June race weekend runs Friday, June 19 through Sunday, June 21. On-site camping opens Friday at 5 p.m., so plan to roll in that afternoon if you want to set up before dark. Watch the [events page](/race/events/race-weekends) for the registration link going live soon.

  • Is camping really available on-site for the race weekend?

Yes — camping is available on-site starting Friday at 5 p.m. That lets you settle in, get the pit area dialed, and be ready to race Saturday morning without a hotel run. Check the [race weekend details](/race/events/race-weekends) for any updates on space.

  • What classes get awards at the race weekend?

Awards go to every class running that weekend. Combined with prizes and food on-site, it's set up so 1/8 buggy and truggy drivers across skill levels all have something to race for. Full class list will post with registration on the [events page](/race/events/race-weekends).

  • How do I register for the June 19–21 race?

Registration opens soon — it isn't live yet as of this posting. Bookmark the [race weekend page](/race/events/race-weekends) and check back, or browse the [events calendar](/race/events) so you don't miss the open date.

  • What should I bring to a 3-day RC race weekend with camping?

This isn't really 3 days of a races. Friday camping starts and we have an open track or. Saturday practice in the a.m., then qualifiers, then the races. Plan for full pit gear (tools, tires, spare parts, charger, fuel or batteries), plus camping basics — tent or camper, bedding, chairs, and weather layers for Iowa in June. Food is on-site, but bring water and anything class-specific you can't easily source trackside. Stock up on consumables ahead of time at [the shop](/shop).
